Description Eichmann In The Dock. London Bureau. Jerusalem: Flanked by two Israeli policemen, and with another outside his bullet-proof dock, Adolf Eichmann (centre) seems to be wearing a half-smile as he listens to his defense attorney Dr. Robert Servatius's plea for him to be tried before a neutral or international court, at the opening of the long-awaited trial here today. Eichmann, accused of the greatest mass murder of Jews in history, wore a dark grey suit, almost black, which his wife sent him from Argentina so that he could put forward the best possible appearance while he fights for his life. His shirt is grey-white; his tie grey. 11th April, 1961. United Press International Photo.
