Description UP/TEL. London Bureau. "Acting on Orders." Jerusalem. Seen giving evidence here on July 3rd is Adolf Eichmann the former Nazi alleged of extermination of the Jews. It is alleged that he shipped 52,000 Jews out of Slovakia in a little more than one month. The documents stated that the Nazis made Slovakia pay 500 marks per head for the "favour" of clearing the country of Jews. Eichmann in yesterday's evidence hastened to tell the Judges that he was only acting on orders, and all he did was to draw up the time tables for the deportation trains. 4th July, 1961.
