Description Eichmann Found Guilty. In a bullet-proof class case, Adolf Eichmann has heard the verdict of "guilty" pronounced by the court in Jerusalem. Eichmann, 55, is accused of the extermination of millions of Jews during the Nazi occupation of Europe. The verdict was delievered at the 116th session of the trial. His life now hangs on the legal interpretation of an Israeli law relating to the punishment of Nazis. Eichmann has always maintained that he acted under the orders of superiors. This picture, taken on Monday shows Eichmann standing in the case looking towards the judges. Mr. Justice Landau, in the centre, pronounced the verdict. 14 Dec 61. Paul Popper Photo.
